My brother just turned 21. He's out getting a little more drunk than he should, witch is no different from any day of the week for him, only now he can buy the beer.

I myself never understood the hype over getting drunk. Ive done it a few times in good company, but never really liked the effect it can have on people. That, and my parents divorced over it, witch is another story entirely.

I think Brendan (my brother) likes to think himself a lot cooler than he actually is. I wouldn't classify my brother as a good person. He's very selfish, and cant remember the last time he ever went out of his way to do anything for me, or anybody else in the family. Still though, as a brother, he's family, and I deal with it in stride, hoping one day he will mature a little, and get his lazy ass back into school.

It's October now, and I can feel the cold creeping in. Suits me just fine, I hate the heat, and the cold just means its time to stock up on tea, coco, and firewood. Winter is by far my favorite time of the year, along with Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's the time of year that most people dread, but I love the feeling. Joy, hope, and faith claim this time of year. A hope for a better new year than the last.

Hopefully for me it will be. I accomplished a lot this year though, and for that I'm proud of myself. It means I'll just have to work that much harder, and move forward.
